Our first assembly

9th Sep 2024

A big welcome back to school to everyone!

Today was the first whole school assembly of our new school year. It was very special for our P1’s, as it was their first ever school assembly. They were absolute stars, listening really carefully as Mr MacDonald explained all the different things we celebrate together during assembly time. We took some extra time today to talk about how we keep our school community a safe, happy and caring place by following our school rules.

Even though we haven’t been back at school very long, we still had lots of award winners to congratulate for their brilliant start to a new school year. We are very proud of you all and look forward to celebrating more and more award winners in the weeks to come.

We also had lots of people who were very keen to share their summer achievements in ballet dancing, Irish dancing, swimming, gaelic and soccer. Keep building all your fantastic skills and talents. We can’t wait to hear about all your achievements as the year continues.

A big happy birthday to our first group of birthday boys and girls-they are 49 years old this week! Enjoy your celebrations.

We are using assembly time to learn songs together and this week we began with “Give me joy in my heart”. Have a listen and see how we did!
