Monday assembly
A big thank you to Primary 6 for their excellent assembly today.
P6 talked about the season of Lent, that will begin with Ash Wednesday next week. Lent is a period of time for reflection and preparation before the celebrations of Easter begin. P6 had some helpful suggestions about things we could give up and also things we could do to help us prepare for Easter.
Primary 6 did a fantastic job, especially as some children volunteered to take extra parts for children who were away today. Well done to all of you.
There were lots of award winners to congratulate today. It is always so special to listen to the examples of people trying hard to succeed at new challenges, working to be the best they can be, showing their kindness and making good choices. This week we also congratulated our first double platinum award winner in Mathletics. We are very proud of you all. Well done!!
There were successes to celebrate for activities outside school time too. This week we were congratulating swimmers, drummers, dancers, footballers and gymnasts! Well done to you, keep building your amazing skills and talents.
As we will miss two Monday assemblies, we had a big birthday celebration with our remaining February birthday boys and girls today. They are an amazing 68! Enjoy all your partying 🥳
